Kumssa & Accomplice (MNPD)

Kumssa is accused of putting a pink pistol to the head of a 37-year-old rideshare driver who was taking a break in a parking lot in the 2400 block of Edge-O-Lake Drive. He demanded that the victim get out of his blue Toyota Scion. The victim complied. Kumssa and an accomplice got in and fled.

Pink Pistol Recovered (MNPD)

Just after 9 p.m., Kumssa, wearing the same clothing from the Scion carjacking, and an accomplice approached a 45-year-old man sitting in a 2006 Jeep Liberty. One of them pointed a pistol at the victim who got out of the Jeep and handed over his keys. Kumssa and the accomplice headed south on Murfreesboro Pike in the Jeep. South Precinct Flex officers heard the carjacking call and the direction of flight. They deployed spike strips, disabling the Jeep. Kumssa and the accomplice bailed and ran. Kumssa was apprehended moments later. A pink pistol was found on the ground. Kumssa refused to answer detectives’ questions. Efforts continue to identify the accomplice. The Toyota Scion was recovered earlier today in South Nashville and has been impounded for processing.
