Frank Lee Williams, 25, of South Nashville was arrested on May 1st, and charged with theft under $1,000, for cashing a $990 check after he already deposited it via a mobile app. He is free on a $2,500 bond.
According to an arrest warrant, Frank Lee Williams cashed a check in the amount of $990 drawn on Bankers Trust Bank, for which received cash in the amount of $980.47 from Tennessee Quick Cash, who later learned the aforesaid check had been previously deposited via a mobile app into his own account electronically, making the check worthless at the time he received cash for it.
Williams is charged with theft, and free on a $2,500 bond.
