Local business saves man from abusive daughter

A South Nashville business assisted an elderly man that was being abused by his daughter, Jessica Porter, who is now jailed on a $2,500 bond.

On April 26th , Jessica Porter’s father made it to business across the street from his home, and asked the manager to call police, because he was being assaulted by his 32-year-old daughter, and quickly left.

Metro Police responded to the South Nashville home, after being contacted by the business, to conduct a welfare check on the gentleman. He daughter had already left the scene by the time police arrived, however they report finding a cut on the right side of the man’s head, with dried blood on his face and hands. He told police his daughter, Jessica Porter, had engaged in a verbal argument when she struck him multiple times about the face with a flashlight.

A warrant was issued for her arrest, and on the morning of May 1st she was taken into custody, charged with domestic assault. She remains jailed in lieu of a $2,500 bond.
