27-year-old Roosevelt Matt, Jr., was arrested Tuesday, and booked on a domestic assault warrant from December 31st, in which he is accused of knocking on his ex-girlfriend’s door, and dragging her out by the hair and beating her when she answered the door.
Metro Nashville Police responded to Glastonbury Rd. for a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, the victim reported that she had recently broken up with her boyfriend, Roosevelt Matt, and he came to her apartment and knocked on the door. When she answered the door, she told him to leave, however he dragged her outside by her hair and began to beat her.
A witness from the apartments confirmed the victim’s statement, and helped the victim escape from the man. Police observed visible injuries and a warrant, charging him with domestic assault, was taken out for his arrest, as he fled the scene before police arrived. Matt Roosevelt was served with the warrant on Tuesday, May 14th, and posted a $5,000 bond to be released from jail. He is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
