Metro Police found 25-year-old Trevon Miles asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle at 227 Shelby Avenue, his foot on the gas, Jim Beam in the cup holder, and the engine revving while he slept.

Metro police responded to the location on May 5th, and found Miles sleeping, and observed a strong odor of alcohol as they woke him up from his slumber. The car was running, as his foot revved the engine while he slept. Officers observed a bottle of Jim Beam Whiskey open in the cup holder. Miles told officers he had been drinking and was trying to ‘sleep it off’. He was able to advise officers of a handgun in the glove box, and refused field sobriety tests. He was taken into custody.
