Mapco Employee admits to taking $14,586 in lottery tickets in 20 days

28-year-old Ashton Wright admitted to Mapco during a verbal and written confession, to activating $14,586 in lottery tickets over a 20-day period in January. She is charged with felony theft. Wright was out on bond for 2 prior thefts at the time of her arrest.

According to Metro Nashville Police, between 01/02/2019 – 01/21/2019, Ashton Wright activated 40 lottery game packs, totaling $14,586.00 during her shifts at the Mapco located at 3900 Lebanon Pike in Hermitage. A Mapco employee interviewed Wright, at which time she confessed verbally, and signed a written confession.

Wright is charged with felony theft over $10,000 and is free on a $10,000 bond for this case.
