Police say when they stopped Ryan Bader for speeding on Wednesday, they found 29 grams of marijuana in the vehicle, and he freely admitted to selling marijuana during questioning. He is held in lieu of a $3,000 bond on his first arrest.
At approximately 10 p.m. Wednesday night, Goodlettsville Police Officer Zachary Scannell reports he was running a speed laser at 720 Rivergate Parkway when he observed a vehicle traveling 54 mph in a 40 mph zone. A traffic stop was initiated, and he made contact with the driver, Ryan Richard Bader. Officer Scannell reports an immediate smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and when he asked for Bader’s license and registration, he raised the middle console, revealing a bag of marijuana.
In addition to the marijuana in the center console, officers also located a ‘big-size’ glass jar behind the driver’s seat, containing several individually wrapped bags of marijuana and a scale. The bags weighed in at 4.4 grams, 18.6 grams, 5.3 grams, and 0.9 grams, for a total of 29.2 grams. According to police, Bader admitted the he sells marijuana, and declined to have a lawyer present during questioning. Bader was charged with driving on a revoked license, possession of paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana w/intent (14.175-4,535 grams). He is held in lieu of a $3,000 bond.
