Man arrested waving stolen handgun in the air on Nolensville Pike

Nicholas Calden, 30, remains jailed today, arrested on charges of waving a stolen gun in the air on Nolensville Pike near Paragon Mills last week.

Metro Police responded to multiple calls on June 10th, all of which reported a man holding a handgun, waving it in the air on Nolensville Pike. Officer made contact with the man, identified as Nicholas Edwin Calden, and confirmed he had an open warrant for violating his probation. The gun, described as a loaded black .357 revolver, was found to be stolen after checking the serial number.

During initial contact, Calden denied having a gun, but it was located during a pat-down. Calden was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, theft of property, and two probation violations. He remains jailed without bond in the Metro Jail.
