The Board of Nursing has agreed to allow RN Alicia Kisselbaugh to return to work on probationary status as of last month, per a disciplinary report released last week. In November, she presented to work as a Neuro ICU nurse with her eyes rolled back in her head, sweaty, with a flushed face, and tested positive for Fentanyl.
According to the State Board of Nursing, Vanderbilt Neuro ICU Nurse Alicia Kisselbaugh presented to work on November 4th, 2018, with a sweaty, flushed face, purple and blue-tinged hands, confusion, eyes rolling back in her heard, and appeared exhausted. She caught the attention of hospital management, who accompanied her to the emergency department to be evaluated.
A urinary drug screen was conducted and returned a positive result for Fentanyl. Kisselbaugh entered a 36-month monitoring agreement with the Tennessee Professional Assistance Program (TnPAP) and has received a return to work recommendation. A Disciplinary Action Report, released last week, details that her licensed will now be moved to probationary status, and she was allowed to return to work in May of 2019.
