24-year-old Austin Richards was arrested Thursday and booked into the Metro Jail, charged with theft of merchandise, under $1,000. Security from Walmart called police after they observed him take a 3-pack of Bud Light into a backpack, and pass all points of sale before being detained.
Metro Police say he did not qualify for a citation due to two prior failure to appears, and one prior failure to be booked on a citation. A night court magistrate freed him on pre-trial release.
