46-year-old Jose Rosasles charged with sexual battery of 8-year-old child

Metro Police have charged Jose Rosasles, 46, with aggravated sexual battery of an 8-year-old child. Rosasles remains jailed in lieu of a $115,000 bond.

Metro Police Detectives were notified Monday of a report of a sexual abuse that occurred in South Nashville, with an 8-year-old female as the victim. The Department of Children’s Services arrived to assist in the interviews. A family member noticed that the victim was in the bedroom of her stepfather, 46-year-old Jose Rosasles, at 6 a.m. Sunday morning, and motioned for her to come out of the bedroom, at which time she disclosed to the family member, and repeated to the DCS agent, that her stepfather, Rosasles, had touched her under her pants, and both massaged and inserted his fingers into her genitals.

Jose Rosasles was taken into custody and charged with aggravated sexual battery. Once he was transported to DCSO for booking, he was processed and during a search, a folded $1 bill containing a white powder substance was discovered on her person, inside the change pocket of his jeans. Rosasles was additionally charged with bringing drugs into a jail. He remains jailed in lieu of a $115,000 bond.
