MNPD Officer Conner Harris Decommissioned after DUI in Wilson County

Metro Nashville Midtown Hills Precinct Officer Conner Harris has been decommissioned and assigned to desk duty as the result of his arrest for DUI Sunday morning in Wilson County.

Harris, 32, a 6-year MNPD veteran, was stopped by a Wilson County Sheriff’s deputy on I-40 while traveling between 40 mph and 50 mph in a 70 mph zone.  The deputy reported that Harris had red watery eyes, slurred speech, and displayed indicators of impairment during the administration of Standard Field Sobriety Tasks.  A blood sample from Harris will be tested by the state crime laboratory.

The Office of Professional Accountability has opened an administrative investigation into the circumstances surrounding Harris’ arrest. He was booked into the Wilson County Jail at 04:27 a.m. Sunday, and released on his own recognizance at 09:42 a.m.
