Local musician Daniel B. Marshall has earned his Nashville musician stripes as he was charged with his first DUI just after 3 a.m. Friday morning after police stopped him for going 58 in a 40 on Hermitage Avenue.
Metro Nashville Police say they were traveling on Hermitage Avenue just after 3 a.m. Friday morning when Daniel Marshall, 37, was observed traveling at 58 mph in a 40 mph zone. Despite initially telling police that he had not had any alcohol, a breath test resulted in a 0.098 BAC.
An arrest warrant indicates Marshall had several signs of impairment, and after failing the field sobriety tests, Marshall admitted to consuming alcohol prior to driving. Marshall was charged with driving under the influence and booked into the Metro Jail, where he was freed on pre-trial release. Marshall had performed a show in West Nashville earlier in the evening.
