The driver refused to pull over and a pursuit was initiated until an MNPD helicopter was able to get overhead and monitor the vehicle from the air. Ground units then backed off from their pursuit.
The helicopter followed the car to Edgehill homes where two men abandoned it on 11th Avenue South near Summit Avenue. Ground officers spotted them as they jumped a fence. One of the fleeing men dropped a loaded rifle in the process. Both were arrested after a foot chase.
