Metro Police responded to the sound of gunfire coming from Cumberland View public housing near 26th Avenue North & Dowlan Street.  As officers moved to where the shots came from, two vehicles were speeding away from the area.  Task Force members got behind one of them and attempted to stop it.  The driver refused to pull over and a pursuit was initiated until an MNPD helicopter was able to get overhead and monitor the vehicle from the air.  Ground units then backed off from their pursuit.
