Metro Police charged 31-year-old Ryan M. Brown with domestic assault Tuesday after they say he came home intoxicated, wrapped his hands around his father’s throat and shoved him into a wall.
Metro police responded to a South Nashville home in the early hours of Tuesday morning on a domestic disturbance call. Upon arrival, they met with the victim who was the father of Ryan Brown. He told officers that his 31-year-old son came home intoxicated and verbally argumentative. For an unknown reason, Ryan is alleged to have shoved his father into a wall, with his hands around his father’s neck, and holding his arm. A witness to the incident confirmed the father’s account of events.
Officers, who described Brown as smelling of alcohol and unsteady on his feet, placed Brown into custody and charged him with domestic assault. He was booked into the Metro Jail and posted a $2,500 bond after the required 12-hour domestic violence hold.
