Metro Nashville police arrived at the Salemtown home of Framing Hanley bassist Jonathan Stoye just north of downtown Nashville Monday morning in response to a domestic disturbance call. Upon arrival, they met with the victim, Kimberly-Ann Ryan, a recent winner of the Hell’s Kitchen reality show.
Kimberly-Ann Ryan told Metro Police she and 34-year-old Jonathan Stoye had been “dating on and off for about 20 years”, and that at approximately 2 a.m. that morning Stoye was intoxicated and “acting aggressively towards her”. She was visiting from Michigan and says she was attempting to gather her belonging to leave when Stoye became angry and attempted to keep her from leaving his home. According to an arrest warrant, Ryan had a small bruise on her upper right arm, which she says she received when Stoye grabbed her by her upper arms and “slammed” her into the wall outside his bedroom door.
Stoye told the police nothing physical had occurred, but instead that Kimberly-Ann Ryan became angry after he was on his phone for a half-hour. Based on the statements of the Ryan and the bruise on her arm, Metro Police determined Stoye to be the primary aggressor and took him into custody without incident, charging him with domestic assault. He was booked into the Metro Jail at 10:35 a.m. Monday morning, and was released on a $2,000 bond after the mandated 12-hour domestic violence hold. he is scheduled to appear in court next week.
Stoye recently deleted his twitter (though a cached copy is available). Late Tuesday night he posted to his Instagram: “Farewell for a little while, internet. Need a little time to get my head right. cheers, -jon- “. Ryan also gave an update on Tuesday night, posting a photo out the window of the airport with the words “no it won’t all go the way it should, but I know the heart of life is good..”
