21-year-old Alex Shanks is charged with domestic assault of his boyfriend after the boyfriend refused to leave Alex’s vehicle because he “had some questions he wanted him to answer”. Shanks warned his boyfriend twice to leave the vehicle before the assault, and the victim refused, per an arrest warrant.

Alex Shanks was charged on an outstanding arrest warrant on Sunday, charging him with domestic assault and vandalism. The warrant details that on Monday, September 9th, the pair were sitting in Alex’s vehicle, as they were planning on splitting a hotel room so they could ‘smoke together’, according to the victim. Shortly after making those plans, Alex allegedly changed his mind, and the victim said that left him “very confused”. He says Alex asked him to get out of his vehicle, but the victim refused, stating that he has some questions he wanted Alex to answer.

Instead of answering the questions, the warrant alleges Alex asked the victim to leave his vehicle once more, and when the victim refused, he punched him in the face twice. At that time the victim left the vehicle and walked over to his own vehicle, followed by Alex, who is alleged to have then broken a mirror off the victim’s vehicle. The victim then drove to the Knights Inn to call police for assistance as Alex left the scene.

An arrest warrant was issued for Alex Shanks, and he was charged with it on Septemeber 29th and booked into custody, charged with domestic assault and vandalism. He is free on a $3,500.00 bond.
