Arrested: Man says he “can’t deny” that people were there to buy weed from him

24-year-old Nathan Schulman is charged with felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, after Metro Police found him with 50 grams of loose marijuana in a mason jar.

Metro Nashville Police Officers arrived at 411 Harding Place after a call of suspicious activity involving a car occupied by 4 people had been reported to the ECC. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the driver of the vehicle, identified as Nathan Schulman, 24, of Smyrna. While speaking with Nathan through the window, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana which then gave the officers probable cause to search the vehicle.

While searching the vehicle officers uncovered 50 grams of marijuana in a large mason jar, 1 gram of THC wax, and a black scale with marijuana residue on it. These items were discovered in a backpack located in the vehicle that belonged to Nathan. Nathan was then Mirandized and placed under arrest. When officers advised Nathan that the other parties involved stated that they were there to purchase marijuana from him he said, “He could not deny that.”

Nathan Schulman was booked into the Metro Jail, charged with felony possession with intent to distribute and drug paraphernalia, and is out on pre-trial release.
