DUI Arrest: Man admits to drinking prior to leaving work, per report

35-year-old Jarod Stressel was charged with DUI after police observed him swerving on Lebanon Pike without headlights after 2 a.m. on December 6th. When asked his impairment on a scale of 1-10, Stressel declared he was a ’10’, and blew a .20 BAC.

On 12/6/19 at approximately 2:17 AM, officers observed a vehicle travelling on Lebanon Pike without headlights while swerving in and out of their lane of traffic. Police pulled the car over and the driver was identified as 35-year-old Jarod Stressel.

Stressel had slurred speech and claimed he was messing with his phone while driving. He admitted to having been drinking prior to leaving work. Police asked Stressel to exit the vehicle for Standard Field Sobriety Tests, during which he exhibited multiple indications of impairment. When asked on a scale of 1-10 how intoxicated he was, Stressel replied with 10. He was arrested for DUI and read implied consent. He agreed to a breath test which showed a .20 BAC. Stressel was transported to Davidson County Sheriff’s Office without incident where he was released to their custody. 

Jarod Stressel is charged with DUI and is currently out of pre-trial release.
