Man shot in leg while being robbed at double gunpoint at Cayce Homes

Dylan DeMoss, 26, was charged with especially aggravated robbery after a victim suffered a broken leg due to a gunshot wound. Moss is alleged to have pulled a shotgun on the victim and fired at him, while a co-defendant pulled a handgun and shot him in the leg as he ran away

The victim, Jimmy, stated that he recognized an acquaintance standing on the sidewalk on South 6th Street when he approached him Jimmy recognized him as Dylan Christopher DeMoss. The victim alleges that Dylan asked him if he was doing anything and they walked over to a black Chevrolet Malibu. Jimmy looked into the Malibu and noticed a gun inside it and backed away. Jimmy stated that Dylan grabbed him and another male got out of the passenger side of the car and pointed a revolver at him. Jimmy went on to say that Dylan had a shotgun and the two told him to empty his pockets; to which he replied that he had nothing. The suspect with the revolver told him that he would shoot him if he didn’t empty his pocket.

Jimmy says that Dylan’s shotgun fired next to him and he started running. The male with the revolver fired at Jimmy as he was running away and the round hit him in the left leg. Jimmy was transported to Vanderbilt Hospital and his injury required surgery to repair his broken femur. Later on, Jimmy picked Dylan out of a lineup. Dylan DeMoss was arrested on December 17th on the outstanding warrant, charging him with especially aggravated robbery and is currently jailed in lieu of a $200,000.00 bond.
