51-year-old Brian Roche, of Dedham, MA, is charged with criminal trespass and theft of services after he ordered and ate a $22 meal at a restaurant in the Renaissance Nashville Hotel that he was unable to pay for.

Brian Roche was at the restaurant inside the Renaissance Hotel and according to the staff, seemed to be intoxicated. Upon further investigation by staff, they found out that Brian was not actually staying in the hotel as a guest. After uncovering this information, Brian was asked to pay for his meal and leave the premises but he was unable to find any way to pay for the meal and refused to leave the location.

The hotel manager, John Bembry, stated that they wish to prosecute Brian for the unpaid, $22.00 meal. The Renaissance Hotel also has a trespass waiver. Upon being questioned by police, Brian could not give any answers as to where he was staying or who he could call for assistance. Police said that Brian smelled of alcohol and had red, watery eyes. Brian was taken into custody and transported to booking without incident.

Brian Roche was charged with criminal trespassing and theft of services under $1000.00 and is free on pre-trial release.
