Woman brutally attacked by family for being on phone at American Pickers store in Nashville

Metro Police say 32-year-old Christina Samford attacked her cousin for being on the phone while on a visit to Antique Archaeology in Nashville. A video shows Samford pull the victim out of a truck and onto the ground, where the victim was punched and kicked.

On 12/29/19, police were dispatched to Pillow Street for an assault report. Upon arrival, Kiersten Richards, the victim, stated that she was in town with her uncle Christopher Tyre and her cousin Christina Samford on vacation from Texas. Kiersten said Christina had become irate with her while they were at American Pickers because she was on the phone.

Kiersten went on to say that Christina pulled her out of the truck and threw her to the ground. Christina went on to punch Kiersten and then her uncle, Christopher Tyre, kicked her in the back, per the report. Police observed an abrasion on Kiersten’s forehead and a cut on her left pinky finger but then Kiersten showed officers a video that includes the assault. The video shows a male and female attack her confirming her account.

Christina Samford was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail, and charged with domestic assault. She is free on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on January 6th.
