44-year-old Thomas Haskins Jr (who purports to 35 on social media), is charged with multiple counts of violating an order of protection, criminal impersonation, and drug possession after he is alleged to have violated a restraining order numerous times that his ex-boyfriend took out on him, stating he was in fear.

On 8/09/19, Thomas Haskins Jr was seen illegally parked on Philfre Court by MNPD Officer Thomas Odom. When Officer Odom made contact with Thomas he provided a false name, date of birth, and social security number. The information provided by Thomas at that time was found to be false after Officer Odom ran a check. Thomas then provided a different date of birth and social security number that was false as well. Thomas was taken into custody and searched. When police conducted a search of his person officers found methamphetamine along with syringes in his front right pocket.

On 12/06/19, Phillip Bumbalough filed for an order of protection against Thomas claiming that he was in fear for his safety since Thomas had become increasingly violent. The filing states that Thomas punched Phillip in the face and strangled him multiple times, threatened Phillip and his family, threatened his dog, and “is a meth addict… capable of seriously hurting or killing me.” The filing also states Phillip felt like a prisoner in his own home and had become physically ill due to the stress Thomas has caused him. Thomas was later served on 12/09/2019 once the order of protection had been approved.

On 12/18/2019, Phillip went to the Family Safety Center to report that Thomas had violated the order of protection he had against him. Thomas had texted him “I do love you,” “U can believe what u want but I do love you I am just scared didn’t wanna be hurt again. I don’t know how to open up to people. Not good at it never have been.” Thomas also called him and Phillip told him to stop calling him and hung up, according to the affidavit.

On 2/12/2020, police found Thomas in Phillip’s apartment which was a violation of the order of protection. Police also found that Thomas had outstanding warrants for the previous offenses. Thomas was then taken into custody and transported to booking.

Thomas Haskin Jr was charged with 3 counts of contempt related charges, an order of protection violation, criminal impersonation, possession with intent, and drug paraphernalia charges. He remains jailed in lieu of a $29,000.00 bond.
