37-year-old Colin Ochs was charged with public intoxication after he was found climbing into a delivery driver’s truck.
On February 14th, officers were dispatched to 3rd Avenue South in reference to a subject climbing into a delivery driver’s truck. When officers arrived, the driver told them he had to pull a man out of his truck and that man started walking away. The driver pointed out the only person walking down the road, later identified as Colin Ochs, who he pulled out of his truck. Officers caught up to Colin as he walked into the Drury Inn.
When officers made contact with Colin, he stated that he did nothing wrong. Officers asked if he had been in a truck recently, and Colin replied that he had not. Police noted that Colin was unsteady on his feet, had bloodshot, watery eyes, and smelled of alcohol. Officers told Colin the truck driver had identified him. Colin then apologized but refused to say anything else. He was taken into custody for his own safety and the safety of the general public.
Colin Ochs was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication, but the charge was later dismissed.
