Employee confesses to stealing $2100 of alcohol from Lipman Brothers warehouse

49-year-old Rubin Miles was charged with theft of merchandise after stealing $2,100 worth of alcohol from his employer, Lipman Brothers LLC.

On February 21st, officers responded to a call placed by Lipman Brothers, LLC. The company called in to report that an employee, Rubin Miles, had stolen $2,100 worth of alcohol from them. The company stated they had video evidence of Rubin stealing multiple cases of several different alcoholic beverages.

Allegedly, the video shows Rubin hiding the cases of alcohol behind the warehouse by throwing them over the fence. Rubin would then come back at a later date and load the merchandise into his personal vehicle. Lipman Brothers LLC also made Rubin write and sign a letter of confession stating he had committed the crime. Rubin was taken into custody and Mirandized. After being read his rights, he admitted to the crime and was transported to booking.

Rubin Miles was arrested and charged with Theft of Merchandise. His bond was set at $2,000.
