24-year-old Joe Nail was charged with domestic assault after he attacked his girlfriend during an argument they were having over crack.
On February 10th, officers received a call from a passerby who witnessed a male subject push a female down at Wentworth Caldwell Sr Park. When police arrived they found the victim, Jessica Ford, who was quite disheveled according to officers. Jessica’s clothes were soaked, she had grass on her back, and a scratch on her chin. Her shoes were several feet away from each other in the parking lot. Jessica told officers that she and her boyfriend Joe Nail had gotten into an argument “over crack.”
During the argument, Joe drug Jessica out of the woods to the concrete and began hitting her head on the ground and punching her. She complained of pain in her back and was transported to Southern Hills Hospital via ambulance. Due to her appearance supporting her statement and her visible injury, Joe Nail was arrested for domestic assault and his bond was set at $5,000. The charge was later dismissed on February 18th.
