Man caught with his hands in a tip jar arrested for public intoxication

29-year-old Matthew Schwartz was charged with public intoxication after he was caught stealing from a tip jar at Honky Tonk Central.

On February 16th, Honky Tonk security witnessed Matthew Schwartz stealing from a tip jar at the bar. When police arrived, they were met by security who stated they had recovered the money but wanted to file charges.

Upon contact with Matthew, officers noted that he showed signs of impairment such as slurred speech and bloodshot watery eyes. Officers deemed Matthew incapable of caring for himself due to his level of intoxication. He was then taken into custody for his safety and that of the public.

Matthew Schwartz was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication. The charge was later dismissed.
