Man points air rifle at woman during argument; charged with domestic assault

72-year-old Larry Dixon was charged with domestic assault after pointing an air rifle at a woman during an argument over coat hangers.

On February 19th, police were dispatched to Hillside Avenue in reference to a domestic disturbance. When police arrived they made contact with Essie Pillar, the victim, who told them that she and Larry Dixon were arguing about clothes hangers. During the argument, she said he pointed a long black gun at her while saying he was going to get her evicted.

Essie called the police and Larry left the apartment and began walking down the street. Police located Larry a block away from the residence and found an air rifle in the bushes where contact was made with him. Larry admitted that the air rifle was his and said that he was just trying to get it out of the house.

Larry Dixon was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault. His bond was set at $1,500.
