20-year-old John Lyons was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism over $1,000, and vandalism under $1,000 after he shot at D’artagnan Burwell’s mother’s house and his car. This was due to an ongoing dispute between the two ever since John started dating his child’s mother.
On February 13th, D’Artagnan stated that he was in his bedroom when he heard multiple gunshots outside of his residence. He said that he ran to the bathroom window and looked out to find John Lyons driving away seconds after hearing the shots. D’Artagnan told police that he had known John for several years, they attended Hunters Lake High School together and were once friends. D’Artagnan also stated John had started dating the mother of his child, Alexandria Manley, and that he and John have had ongoing dispute since December 18th, 2019.
D’artagnan then provided Instagram messages from the account “streetlife_tuff,” which D’artagnam says belongs to John. The messages show “streetlife_tuff” continuously attempted to meet with D’artagnam to engage him in violence and told him to “drop the addy.” D’Artagnan stated that the house he resides in belongs to his mother and that during the shooting it was struck by gunfire that damaged the screen door. D’artagnam’s Honda Civic was also struck by several bullets during John’s attack.
John Lyons was later arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Vandalism Over $1,000, Vandalism Under $1,000. His bond was set at $25,000. His case has since been bound over to the grand jury. You can also find John on SoundCloud linked above.
