Benjamin Seth Powers has resigned from the Nashville Fire Department amid the publication of underage sex allegations from court records. He has since requested that the court suspend his child support payments since he no longer has any income. More recently, he is accused of running a vehicle off the road with a neighborhood child inside it, and now the U.S. Army Reserve has launched an investigation into his actions.

Scoop: Nashville has reported on Nashville Fireman Benjamin Seth Powers since early December when Benjamin was brought under investigation following allegations that arose during his divorce hearings. These allegations include continued sexual encounters with a 15-year-old girl which lasted until after she had turned 18, fathering a child with his own cousin, being involved in a “contract marriage” for-profit with another military service member, multiple domestic assaults, masturbating to internet cam girls until his penis had sores, shooting up anabolic steroids in front of his children, and allowing one of his daughters to sleep in the bed with him without pajama bottoms or underwear.

Scoop Nashville reached out to both the Nashville Fire Department and the U.S. Army for comment. The NFD stated, ” We do not comment on pending civil litigation.” Simon Flake, Chief of Public Information at the pentagon for U.S. Army Reserve, stated that ” Benjamin Seth Powers has served in the Army Reserve since December 2006. We take these allegations seriously and the matter is under investigation.” Court records show that Powers claims he was told he had two choices from the Nashville Fire Department after the article was published: resign or be fired. He chose to resign, and according to court records is seeking to move from reserve status in the U.S. Army to a full-time active duty deployment.

Powers has also requested through the court system that his child support payments be temporarily suspended since he resigned for his job at the fire station. A hearing was conducted on February 6th, 2020, where it seems that the involved parties have come to some sort of agreement, however, details of the agreement were not yet available.

The filed court documents do state Powers is currently a reservist and is seeking to go to full duty status with an enlistment. Records state he would make approximately $4752.50 per month once deployed. Although the Army has stated that his future with them is now under investigation after viewing our reporting on Powers.

In addition to everything above, we can also exclusively report that Benjamin Seth Powers was involved in a criminal complaint on January 27th, which reads as follows:
