Woman attempts to cut office staff with broken glass

18-year-old Lateasha Simmons was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after she broke a window, grabbed a piece of broken glass, and started swinging it at the victims as she was attempting to enter an office.

On February 10th, officers observed Lateasha Simmons swinging a sharp piece of glass at the victims. Lateasha broke a window of the office space that the victims were inside of in an attempt to get to one of the victims. After she broke the window she picked up a piece of glass, held it like a knife, and started swinging it through the window saying “I’m going to kill you” at one of the victims.

Another victim held the doorknob to keep Lateasha from gaining entry. Lateasha attempted to cut that victim with the piece of glass as well. Both victims feared for their safety.

Lateasha Simmons was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Her bond was set at $1,500.
