35-year-old Linda Fukui is charged with assault after allegedly attacking a man she was headed home with after meeting him at a bar. Police found the victim with scratches on his face, and hair pulled out of his head.
On 2/09/2020, Metro Nashville police responded to the Exxon/Tigermarket on Shelby Avenue in reference to a fight that had occurred. Upon arrival, officers spoke with both parties involved and found that the pair were acquaintances that had just met hours earlier. The victim, Christopher Joseph Green, stated that he met the defendant, Linda Fukui, at a bar and had been having a good time with her while drinking. He went on to say that he and Linda left together and got into his vehicle and she began giving him directions.
Christopher said that after a while Linda was on her phone with a friend and said that she needed to use the restroom. Christopher then headed to 227 Shelby Avenue for her to do so. According to Christopher, Linda began attacking him out of nowhere when they got close to the address. He sustained minor scratches to his face and some of his hair was pulled out during the attack. Christopher stated that he did wish to prosecute and police took Linda into custody and transported her to booking. No citation was issued due to her level of intoxication, per the report.
Linda Fukui was arrested and charged with assault and is free on a $2,000 all cash bond. She is scheduled to appear in court in March.
