39-year-old Pamela Hatton was charged with felony possession of cocaine with intent and unlawful drug paraphernalia after she was found in cahoots with other subjects attempting to score “blow” in a white minivan that was illegally parked.

On March 6th, officers were flagged down, while on an unrelated call, in reference to a white minivan that was parked in front of a “No Parking Any Time” sign under the Pedestrian Bridge on 2nd Avenue South. Officers made contact with the occupants in the vehicle. Officers received consent from one of the passengers to search his person and a bag of cocaine was found on him. Police then spoke to another occupant of the vehicle who admitted to having a crack pipe in his jacket pocket. After speaking with those individuals, officers were told they were escorted to this van to procure some “blow,” which is a street term used for cocaine.

Because officers had already recovered cocaine and a crack pipe, they performed a probable cause search of the vehicle. There was an additional bag found inside of a black wallet that Pamela Hatton was handling prior to police searching the vehicle that contained 1.7 grams of cocaine. The search also uncovered a blue digital scale that was located in Pamela’s purse. Pamela was taken into custody and transported to booking while a no-tow form was completed and the vehicle was left with one of the occupants.

Pamela Hatton was arrested and charged with felony possession of cocaine with intent as well as unlawful drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $26,000.
