70-year-old Carolyn Pollard was charged with reckless endangerment and assault with a deadly weapon after two women say she terrorized them by firing a gun outside of their senior living apartment complex.
On March 26th, Officer Daniel Kallman responded to Metrocenter Teachers Apartments located at 451 Ponder Place to a call in reference to shots fired. According to the affidavit, officers spoke with Deborah Mitchell, who told them Carolyn Pollard had confronted her verbally outside of their residence. Ms. Mitchell stated after the dispute, she continued walking down the sidewalk until she heard a firearm shot. She did not see Pollard shoot, but turned around and observed Pollard facing her with a firearm in hand.
Both witnesses Katina Ballard, who was near Pollard when the shot was fired, and Ms. Mitchell told officers they were in fear of being shot. Authorities were able to recover the firearm and reports allege that Pollard admitted to discharging the firearm.
Carolyn Pollard was arrested and charged with felony reckless endangerment and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Her bond was set at $8,000.
