Man charged with multiple Home Depot thefts

20-year-old Johnathan Hasty was charged with four counts theft of merchandise stemming from separate incidents between March 2019 and January 2020.

On March 5th, Johnathan Hasty was arrested on four outstanding warrants for theft of merchandise that occurred at The Home Depot on Joyce Lane. According to one affidavit from December 31st, a customer photographed Hasty quickly and suspiciously loading items into a vehicle. This was reported to Keith Litteral in Loss Prevention, who compared witness photographs to security footage and identified the plate on the blue vehicle in question to read 298 0S9, which is registered to Ishaveka Williams. Williams and Hasty have been known to have a shared arrest history.

Another report dated January 10th reports similar circumstances involving the same car and plate, but this time with Williams pegged as the driver. The final affidavit, dated January 18th, notes similar circumstances but lists the vehicle as a gold sedan. All together the lost merchandise from the three incidents tallies approximately $2,248 and consisted of security lighting, tiles, and grout.

Johnathan Hasty was arrested on all four counts of theft of merchandise. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $4,500 bond and also has an out of county hold.
