25-year-old Mena Awad was charged with domestic assault after he followed his ex-girlfriend to her friend’s house and then grabbed her.
On February 25th, Sherin Marzouk was traveling down Lakewalk Drive to her friend’s house when she noticed a silver van pull up behind her and began following her closely. Sherin pulled into her friend’s house on Springstead Trail and tried to walk into the garage. Before Sherin could make it into the garage, the driver of the van got out and grabbed her while saying “I need to talk to you.” Sherin recognized the person as Mena Awad, her ex-boyfriend.
Sherin screamed that she needed help and for someone to call the police. Mr. Souryal stepped outside of the residence and witnessed Mena grabbing Sherin by the arm. Mr. Souryal recognized Mena from his place of work. Mena got back into the van and drove off.
On March 12th, Mena Awad was arrested and charged with domestic assault. His bond was set at $1,500.
