Man found lying along interstate; charged with public intoxication

26-year-old Dallas Wease was charged with public intoxication after he was seen lying on the side of the road and then walking down the exit ramp at James Robertson Parkway.

On March 13th, police were dispatched to Exit 48 at James Robertson Parkway in reference to a man lying on the side of the road. Police observed Dallas Wease walking down the exit ramp when they made contact. Police noted that Dallas was unsteady on his feet and was nearly walking in the roadway.

According to officers, Dallas also smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech, and was not speaking coherently. Dallas could not provide police with his address or any phone numbers of friends who could come to his aid. Police deemed Dallas to be a danger to himself and the general public and placed him into custody.

Dallas Wease was arrested and charged with public intoxication. The charge was later dismissed.
