27-year-old Kent Kilpatrick was charged with public intoxication after he was found asleep in the lobby of a Holiday Inn and then attempted to enter a police vehicle thinking it was his own.

On March 5th, Kent Kilpatrick was found sleeping inside the lobby of the Holiday Inn on West End Avenue. Kent would not respond to any requests by police or hotel staff to leave the premises. Staff confirmed that Kent was not a guest of the hotel. Police noted he was unable to speak coherently and the officers smelled an odor of alcohol coming from his breath.

Officers also noted that Kent had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. Kent abruptly arose and began walking toward West End Avenue. While on his way, he attempted to enter a police car believing it was his own vehicle. Given his inability to care for himself in the environment, officers deemed Kent to be a danger to himself and placed him into custody.

Kent Kilpatrick was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication. The charge was later dismissed.
