46-year-old Khalid Niazi was charged with domestic assault after he punched and kicked his wife over an argument they were having.
On February 6th, officers were dispatched to Vanderbilt Hospital in reference to a domestic disturbance report. When police arrived they spoke with Samia Niazi, who stated that her husband, Khalid Niazi, attacked her due to an argument they were having. Samia went on to say that Khalid punched her in the face multiple times and kicked her after she fell to the ground.
Officers observed a cut on the inside of Samia’s lip that came from the assault, according to her. Samia stated she was told by medical professionals that she had a long scratch on her back but would not allow officers to view her or take pictures of the injury. Officers prosecuted on Samia’s behalf due to the visible injury along with her statement. Khalid was later served his warrant on February 26th.
Khalid Niazi was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault. His bond was set at $2,000.
