Man skirts off after check bounces

34-year-old Foster Billings was charged for a worthless check after he attempted to pay his mechanic with a bad check and refused to pay once it bounced.

On November 15th, 2016, Foster Billings had work done on his vehicle by Fleet Service. Foster paid the company with a personal check written for the amount of $176.00 drawn on First Tennessee Bank. The check was dishonored due to insufficient funds.

Foster had collected his vehicle from the Fleet Service mechanic’s lien with the bogus check and refused to pay for it, even after a 10-day notice was mailed to him before November 30th, 2016.

On March 19th, Foster Billings was arrested and charged for a worthless check. His bond was set at $500.
