26-year-old Deondre’ Hester was charged with domestic assault after he slapped his girlfriend for looking at his phone.
On February 25th, officers responded to North 1st Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. Deondre’ Hester and his girlfriend Wadlyne Guillaume were located in a semi-truck. Wadlyne stated that the couple was involved in a verbal argument over her looking at Deondre’s phone.
According to Wadlyne, Deondre’ escalated the altercation when he slapped her glasses off of her face. Deondre’ had a similar account of the incident and admitted to slapping Wadlyne’s glasses off of her face. Wadlyne had no visible signs of injury.
Deondre’ Hester was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault. His bond was set at $1,000.
