34-year-old Andrew Folk was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after threatening a man with a knife because he wouldn’t give him a ride.

On February 26th, officers responded to a call at 210 Printers Alley in regards to a person with a weapon. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Samuel Boyette who stated that while he was loading items into his vehicle, a man came over to him and said he needed a ride. After Samuel told the man he wasn’t able to give him a ride, the man again said that he needed a ride and pulled out a knife from his pocket.

Samuel told officers he walked into a business and notified security. After security called the police, they kept an eye on the man until police arrived. Officers found the man, identified as Andrew Folk, walking along Bakers Alley and conducted a pat down to find a knife inside his front right jacket pocket. The knife was still open and the blade was exposed. Because of Andrew’s actions with the knife and placing someone in fear of bodily injury, the knife was confiscated and Andrew was taken into custody.

Andrew Folk was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. His bond was set at $7,500.
