Man throws syringe out window; charged with tampering of evidence

27-year-old Jonathan Galindo was charged with possessing a suspended license and tampering with evidence after he threw a syringe and baggie out of the window before the driver sped away from a traffic stop.

On March 10th, Jonathan Galindo was a passenger of a vehicle that was speeding. The vehicle was slow to stop and officers observed Jonathan throwing a syringe and a baggie out of the window. When additional officers arrived, both suspects refused to step out of the vehicle when officers commanded. The driver then accelerated from the traffic stop and was witnessed driving dangerously.

Officer Moore returned to the area where he saw Jonathan throw the items and found a damaged syringe but did not locate the baggie. Pieces of the syringe were scattered along the roadway. Jonathan was taken into custody on March 11th and transported to booking.

Jonathan Galindo was arrested and charged with possessing a suspended license and tampering with evidence. His bond was set at $5,500.
