Nashville man charged after assaulting sister while drunk

19-year-old Jacob Terry was charged with public intoxication and domestic assault after police say he attacked his sister while drunk and was located in the parking lot of an apartment complex.

On March 24th, officers responded to a domestic call. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Taylor Creighton, who stated that Jacob Terry was her brother. Taylor described the setting where the events transpired, stating she was the passenger in the front seat of a car, the witness was driving, and Jacob was in the backseat. She went on to say that Jacob had been drinking and became belligerent due to his level of intoxication.

According to the affidavit, during his belligerent state Jacob punched Taylor in the face multiple times. Taylor sustained a cut to her lip with blood, which police observed, and the witness corroborated Taylor’s statement. When police found Jacob, he was in the parking lot of an apartment complex exhibiting signs of intoxication.

Jacob Terry was arrested and charged with public intoxication and domestic assault. His bond was set at $2,600.
