Antioch woman charged for strangling boyfriend after he came home from work, per report

37-year-old Autumn Bell was charged with aggravated assault by strangulation after her boyfriend reported to police that he came home from work and found her to be intoxicated, which led to an argument and a physical attack on him.

On March 27th, officers were dispatched to Oak Timber Drive in reference to a domestic disturbance. When officers arrived, contact was made with Shane Reynolds and his girlfriend Autumn Bell. According to Shane, he came home from work and found Autumn intoxicated. He went on to say that an argument ensued and the matter became physical when Autumn attacked him.

Shane told police that pushed Autumn to get her off him. Officers observed multiple scratches on Shane’s neck where Autumn attempted to strangle him, per the affidavit. Shane also had a busted lip with dried blood on it. Autumn told police that Shane had thrown her around the room but she had no visible injuries. Officers determined Autumn to be the primary aggressor and was taken into custody.

Autumn Bell was charged with aggravated assault by strangulation. Her bond was set at $5,000.
