Nashville teen busted with nearly $3000 cash and 42 grams of marijuana in his pants

18-year-old Kenneth Dyer was charged with possession of marijuana with intent after police pulled over the vehicle he was riding in and searched his person to find over $2800 cash in bundles and over 42 grams of marijuana in separate bags in his pants.

On March 28th, officers initiated a traffic stop on 9th Avenue North and Coffee Street on a Toyota Sedan due to improper display of its tags. Upon contact, Kenneth Dyer was found to be a passenger of the vehicle and police could smell the odor of marijuana emitting from inside the car. Kenneth stated that marijuana had been smoked in the vehicle earlier. Kenneth then exited the vehicle and gave his consent for officers to search his person.

Police noted that they could see obvious bulges in the young man’s pants but what they actually found was $2,870.00 in cash that was separated into different bundles. Kenneth also had 42.4 grams of marijuana in his pants that was separated into different packages. Kenneth told the police that he was not employed anywhere and declined to answer any further questions.

Kenneth Dyer was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent. He was later freed on pre-trial release.
