West Nashville man charged for smacking, pistol-whipping his children’s mother 2 days in a row

36-year-old Kenneth Swindell was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and domestic assault after his children’s mother reported that he assaulted her two days in a row, one incident involved a pistol-whipping and death threat.

On March 27th, Brea Starnes visited The Family Safe Center located at 610 Murfreesboro Pike to file a report. According to affidavits, Ms. Starnes testified that Kenneth Swindell, the father of her children, had assaulted her two days in a row.

One incident was on March 26th at his home at 307 Susannah Court, Kenneth accused Ms. Starnes of infidelity and proceeded to pistol-whip her with a handgun at least two times. He also threatened to kill her. The second infraction was on March 27th at her home at 1401 Jo Johnston Avenue when Kenneth smacked her. Ms. Starnes sustained injuries to her right eye and left middle finger.

On April 20th, Kenneth Swindell was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and domestic assault. His bond was set at $10,000.
