22-year-old Tycohyia Clark was charged with disorderly conduct, criminal trespass, and resisting arrest after yelling, causing a scene, and refusing to leave an apartment complex after three warnings from police. While being placed in custody, she pulled away, fought against officers, and refused to sit in the patrol car.
On April 16th, officers were dispatched to 100 Robert Cartwright Drive in reference to a domestic call. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Tycohyia Clark. According to the affidavit, Tycohyia was “yelling and causing a scene, was uncooperative, and would not answer questions”. The residents of Apartment 1504 told officers they did not want Tycohyia there anymore.
Officers advised Tycohyia she was free to go and she needed to leave. Tycohyia replied by saying that she wasn’t leaving until she retrieved her belongings. Officers noted they looked inside and outside the apartment and was not located. Tycohyia was again told she was free to leave and needed to leave the property. According to the affidavit, Tycohyia again refused to leave.
Officers warned her a third time by telling her that she would go to jail if she did not leave, and she refused again. Officers noted during this time, Tycohyia yelled and caused a scene the entire time. Neighbors started coming outside to see what was going on. Officers then instructed her to put her hands behind her back, and she pulled away. Officers had to control her while handcuffs were placed on her. Tycohyia then resisted walking to the patrol car and fought the entire time. She also refused to sit in the car and stood stiff, per the report.
Tycohyia Clark was charged with disorderly conduct, criminal trespass, and resisting arrest. She was later freed on pre-trial release.
