Woman found with crack in child’s diaper bag after hitting cousin with her car during parking spot dispute

22-year-old Joshuanique Vaughn was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after arguing with her cousin over a parking spot and hitting him while driving off. She was later charged with possession with intent after being arrested during a traffic stop and was found with crack in her diaper bag.

On January 6th, officers were dispatched to 640 Cannon Street in reference to a possible fight in progress. Upon arrival, Johnquaze Brodie told officers he was involved in an incident with his cousin Joshuanique Vaughn. They both came to the location because their mothers were arguing with each other.

Johnquaze said he started arguing with Joshuanique outside over a parking spot. He was standing on the driver’s side of his vehicle and Joshuanique was still in her vehicle when she drove off and hit him in the process, causing him to flip onto the hood of her vehicle while she was driving. Officers noted Johnquaze had a scrape on his right elbow and on his lower back.

On April 16th, officers came to assist other units at the intersection of Dr DB Todd Jr Boulevard and Buchanan Street in reference to multiple people being stopped in a vehicle with outstanding warrants. Officers discovered that Joshuanique Vaughn had an outstanding felony warrant and was taken into custody. While being searched, officers discovered 1.7 grams of a white rocky substance inside a plastic baggy in her child’s diaper bag that was consistent with crack.

On April 16th, Joshuanique Vaughn was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of crack with intent. Her bond was set at $7,000.
